Homebound Tutoring

Alternatives Unlimited’s Homebound Tutoring Program serves students in need of homebound instruction. These students may be referred because of long-term medical disabilities, pregnancy, expulsions, suspensions, excessive disciplinary problems and dropout prevention.

The program combines the convenience of AU-supplied student laptops with the instructional rigor of state aligned curriculum. The result is an instructional option allowing districts to maintain compliance with state law requiring homebound instruction for its students in a convenient, cost-effective and instructionally sound manner.

With the newly developed virtual technology, AU will continue to access its wealth of internet-delivered resources and will also seamlessly deliver the district’s curriculum, if preferred.
